About this studio
Bohemian Salsa is a dance school in Vinohrady, central Prague, teaching salsa, bachata and other Latin dances at beginner through advanced levels. Classes run regularly throughout the season, and you can sign up alone or with a partner. The school is led by experienced instructors who are multiple-time Czech Republic champions in Caribbean dances.
Beyond regular courses, Bohemian Salsa runs open classes (openclass) designed for people who have never danced before. These are drop-in sessions where you learn the basics of salsa, bachata or merengue in a casual way, with no need to sign up in advance — you simply come, dance for an hour, and decide whether you want to continue with regular classes.
The school also organises social dancing events and themed weekends. These include winter and summer open-air dance nights (Zimní Tančírna Dance Café and Letní Tančírna na Gauči, held on Tuesday evenings at Výstaviště), weekend dance trips, and multi-day dance retreats. Salsa u moře is an annual August trip to Croatia where participants dance, swim and socialise. There is also a Salsa weekend in Benešov featuring accommodation at a renovated hotel with pool and wellness facilities, with dance classes several times daily and evening socials. An intensive summer school runs in July, offering 90-minute sessions daily (Monday to Friday) for beginners through advanced dancers.
The school offers private lessons, gift vouchers, and can arrange dance performances and entertainment for corporate and private events. Teaching happens in Czech and English. Children's dance classes are also available. You can register online through their website, by email, or by phone.
