Cafe Citron is a vibrant Latin kitchen and lounge in the heart of DuPont Circle, Washington, D.C., at 1343 Connecticut Ave. NW.
The venue combines authentic South American cuisine with Latin social dancing, serving homemade dishes inspired by Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Peru, and Mexico, and transforming into a nightclub later in the evening. It is a destination for salsa and bachata dancing, with live music, themed nights, and a well-known Latin happy hour.
What to expect
Your first visit
Salsa lessons are held Friday and Saturday from 9 to 10 PM, followed by a salsa/bachata social dance from 10 to 11 PM, with the venue transforming into a nightclub around 10 PM. Dinner is served from 7 to 11 PM, and Fridays feature a live bongo/conga player. The week includes themed nights such as Wednesday and Thursday Latin happy hours and weekend salsa/bachata socials.
