About this studio
Casa Latina is a cultural organization based at Trefcentrum OASE on Cartesiusweg 11 in Utrecht, near Zuilen train station. The studio offers weekly dance lessons in Salsa for beginners and advanced dancers of all ages, alongside Spanish and Dutch language classes. Beyond regular classes, Casa Latina hosts cultural events on the second Saturday of each month, where they present different Latin American countries with live music, food, and dancing. These monthly gatherings bring together Latin American communities and people from other backgrounds across Utrecht.
The organization runs personal development and integration workshops twice a year. Dance instruction covers Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Latin styles. Classes are structured for beginners through to advanced students, welcoming both young and older participants. The venue hosts special cultural celebrations including Día de la Hispanidad and other important Latin American dates, as well as themed evenings open to everyone in and around Utrecht.
Casa Latina's approach centers on cultural exchange and coexistence. Their activities deliberately create a welcoming, multi-ethnic environment where people can learn about each other's backgrounds through music, movement, and shared meals. The organization also provides legal and social advice services, and runs a learning center focused on information and education for Latin American and other communities.
The venue is located at Trefcentrum OASE with free parking available. Classes and activities run weekly for movement and language instruction, with larger cultural events held monthly. For course information and general enquiries, you can contact the organization by email or phone.
