You can dance it at parties, pubs, nightclubs, weddings—just about anywhere.
Classes run every Thursday at Jubilee Building Hall, 545 Parnell Road, Parnell. The schedule offers: 7:00–7:30 pm Social Dancing, 7:30–8:15 pm Beginners Class, 8:15–8:45 pm Social Dancing, 8:45–9:15 pm Beginners Plus Class, 9:15–9:45 pm Intermediate Class, and 9:45–10:00 pm Social Dancing and pack down. No partner, booking, experience or prior dance knowledge is required. You can start any time. The beginners class teaches one move at a time, generally covering four moves in a session, with a gentle warm-up to start. A beginner class structure includes partner swaps, with the teacher keeping an eye out for newcomers. Students are typically very supportive of new people joining.
The venue offers 38 free onsite car parks with entrance off Titoki Street. Contact Ross Craigie or Liesa Orr by phone or email for enquiries about private lessons, wedding dance lessons, or to ask any questions before your first visit.
