About this studio
Corpo is a 40 m² dance and movement studio in Kleinbasel at Efringerstrasse 14, located in the basement. The vaulted room has three small windows and is fitted with a joint-friendly, floating oak wood floor. The space is equipped with a tuned sound system, ballet barres, and adjustable mirrors that can be covered with curtains as needed. Dimmable ceiling and wall lighting allows you to set the mood for your session.
The studio teaches tango, yogapilates, yoga, and gyrokinesis. Tango regular courses run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. There is also a dedicated tango with Parkinson class on Mondays at 10.30 at Corrientes, and a monthly tango practica (second Sunday of each month, 18.00–19.30) at Mitte. Yogapilates runs Mondays 18.30–19.45. The studio also offers workshops and one-to-one lessons or small group sessions.
The adjoining room contains a tea kitchen with bar, a changing room, storage, and a ground-floor WC. Equipment available includes blankets, cushions, pilates and yoga mats, yoga blocks, pilates rollers and rings, various balls, and eye pillows. The studio's neutral, intimate aesthetic suits both structured classes and private practice or rehearsal space for dancers, available at special rates through a booking system.
Beyond regular teaching, the space can be hired for private events: aperitifs, exhibitions, readings, or small concerts. A few stools are available for seating. Thursday evenings from 20.30 onwards are available for booking.
