About this studio
Dance Central Andheri is run by Vineet Bangera, founder and principal instructor with almost 20 years of experience training students personally. He is the only Indian to have represented India extensively in more than 45 countries—Istanbul, Antalya, Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Paris, Malaysia, Bangkok, Bali, Sydney, Dubai, Slovenia, Croatia, Oman and Manila among them—to promote home-grown talent on global soils.
Classes focus on Salsa and Bachata, taught using a methodical, systematic approach with detailed breakdown of every movement. Vineet's teaching style guarantees students will walk out dancing. The studio operates two locations in Mumbai: classes in Andheri run on Fridays and Mondays at Bhaktti Wellness Studio, 1st Floor, SpringFields 2, Lokhandwala Complex; additional classes are held Saturdays and Sundays in Khar/Bandra.
No partner or prior dance experience is needed. Most students enter as individuals, and partners are rotated throughout the class if needed. The studio is designed as a safe and supportive environment. According to students, the experience goes beyond learning steps—one student described it as "truly a safe space filled with so much fun, respect, a sense of community and a lot of opportunity."
Dance Central runs Spicy Latin Socials (SLS) events for students to dance socially. Recent events include SLS 004 on 11th May 2024, SLS 003 on 27th April 2024, SLS 002 on 13th April 2024, and SLS 001 on 30th March 2024. The studio also offers student performance opportunities, including a Student Performance Batch 2025.
The teaching philosophy centres on structured progression. The curriculum is designed so that students gradually develop confidence, improve coordination, rhythm, timing, creativity, style and personality. Learning timescales vary: generally 6–8 months of regular training puts beginners in a good, confident position to social dance. Beginners are recommended to take lessons twice a week with social dancing once a week. For those continuing longer, there are students who have trained at Dance Central for 5 to 7 years and beyond.
