About this studio
Dance Colombia with Milena ColAfro teaches Salsa and Colombian folk dances at ADEM (Ateliers d'Ethnomusicologie de la ville de Genève) in Geneva. Milena ColAfro is a professional dance instructor who specialises in Colombian rhythms and traditional dances, offering a vibrant and dynamic teaching style.
The studio runs classes in two main areas. Salsa colombienne classes focus on fast footwork techniques and dynamic movements in an energetic atmosphere. Colombian folklore classes cover traditional dances including Cumbia, el joropo, el chandé, and merecumbé, drawn from the five regions of Colombia, with flowing steps and personal expression.
Classes are open to all ages from 6 to 99 years old, and to all levels — beginners, intermediate, and advanced dancers. You do not need a partner; you can register alone or as a couple. Milena teaches children, young people, and adults in a joyful atmosphere designed to make learning easy and fun.
Courses resume on 2 September 2025, with registrations now open for the 2025–26 term. The studio emphasises that dance is a celebration without end, combining fitness, socialising, and good humour through Colombian music and movement.
