About this studio
Dance Mission Theater is a thriving, women-led, artist-driven, multi-cultural and multi-generational community and artistic sanctuary in San Francisco's Mission District. It is dedicated to women and queer-identified artists, artists of color, and culturally-specific dance ensembles, with a stated commitment to inclusiveness, fairness, and justice.

Krissy Keefer's Dance Brigade, a San Francisco social-change dance company, was founded in 1984 and has operated Dance Mission Theater under its 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 1998. The organization is marking Dance Mission Theater's 25th anniversary alongside Dance Brigade's 50th.
