About this studio
Latina Blanca is a dance school at Crnogorska 1 in central Belgrade, teaching Latin and Argentine dance styles to adults and seniors. The studio runs beginner groups in salsa, bachata and kizomba (marketed as "3 in 1" – three dances for the price of one), meeting Tuesday and Thursday at 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday at 17:00. Intermediate and advanced groups train at different times: the middle group (up to six months' experience) meets Tuesday and Thursday at 20:00 and Saturday and Sunday at 18:00, while the advanced group (over one year of training) meets Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00.
The studio also offers specialised programmes. Dance and fitness classes for ages 65+ run as "Ples za treće doba" (dance for the third age) and Zumba Gold, meeting Monday and Wednesday at 11:00 for dance, Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 for Zumba. Argentine tango classes are available. They have run free promotional salsa, bachata, merengue and kizomba classes in the past.
Instructors are competitive dancers with significant credentials. The website notes they include current world champions in Puerto Rican salsa (couples) in the IDF federation, 2013 world champions in couples and Cuban style, and regular participants in salsa congresses, festivals and seminars since 2005. They teach workshops, perform at shows and compete.
Monthly membership for beginners covering all three dances (salsa, bachata, kizomba) is 5,000 dinars; students and schoolchildren pay 4,000 dinars. Advanced mixed-style membership costs 2,800 dinars (2,300 for students). The 65+ programmes cost 2,800 dinars per month. The studio has run community outreach, including free three-month salsa courses for ages 15–30 in partnership with the Savski Venac municipality.
