The studio specialises in salsa courses structured for progressive learning rather than drop-in sessions, allowing students to work through a syllabus at their own pace with tangible results.
Classes run at five central London locations: Westminster Studio (The Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith St), Euston/Kings Cross Studio (St Aloysius Church Hall, 20 Phoenix Rd), and Oxford Street/Great Portland Street (inside Fitness First Marylebone, Cavendish Mews N, Hallam St). Evening and weekend courses are available across all venues, each chosen for their great dance floors and proximity to transport links.
The curriculum is divided into four levels. Beginners (Level 1) cover the basic 8-count rhythm, turn patterns, the cross body lead, and lead-and-follow technique using the LA style (cross body on 1), taught as the most popular style in London and best suited for beginners. Improvers (Level 2) build on fundamentals with more involved figures, variations, and deeper work on leading, following, rhythm and balance; students typically complete four to six Level 2 courses before progressing. Intermediate (Level 3) is for those with nine to twelve months of regular attendance, focusing on flow, musicality, styling and technical mastery. A one-day intensive course covers all Level 1 basics in a single session for those short on time, and single taster classes allow new dancers to experience a real class before committing to a full course.
Instructors include Mohammed, an award-winning Latin dance specialist with over 15 years' teaching experience from beginners to advanced, and Nataliya, trained in Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Ballroom & Latin and Ballet, who has been teaching partner dance for over a decade and a half. Both are known for creating fun, supportive environments. No partner is required—classes rotate partners throughout, which the studio notes is the fastest way to improve leading and following skills and sharpen adaptability on the social dance floor. If you miss a class, catch-up sessions on alternative days within the same term can be arranged.
What to expect
Your first visit
Your first class (or taster) will cover fundamental steps, rhythm and timing in a supportive, rotating-partner format where you'll meet your fellow classmates. You'll leave with enough confidence to understand the salsa rhythm and decide whether to continue. Expect a fun, high-energy environment—the studio's motto is that all classes must be fun.
