Ballroom Courses By Michael Litke teaches Ballroom and Latin dance in a spacious, beautiful studio just off Piccadilly Circus in central London. Michael Litke is a fully ISTD-qualified Ballroom and Latin dance instructor who has taught dance classes in London since 2003, working with hundreds of students across all levels.
The studio offers group classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as private 1-to-1 lessons. Courses cover all the major Ballroom dances — Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep — alongside all the Latin dances: Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. Group classes rotate partners during the lesson, which the studio sees as essential to mastering ballroom dancing; individuals are welcome to sign up alone.
Private lessons can be booked for individuals, couples or small groups, with booking arranged by contacting the studio by email or phone. Michael will work with you at your own pace, whether you're learning a classic Waltz, high-energy Jive or bouncy Samba. The studio also specialises in wedding dance lessons, where Michael helps couples prepare their first dance as a married couple. If you have a wedding song in mind, he will explore different steps and create a fusion of styles to suit your track; if you're undecided, he can suggest music and choreography that matches your natural rhythm and abilities.
All group and private courses must be paid for in full before the first class. The studio operates a two-week cancellation policy for group classes (non-refundable and non-transferable if cancelled within two weeks of the first class) and a one-week policy for private lessons. Group classes are strictly adults only; participants must be 18+. Authorised recordings of classes are posted in the Student Portal so you can revisit the steps learned during the lesson.
