About this studio

Elite Dance Studio opened in 2014 at 4160 S Fort Apache Rd, a 3,600 sq. ft. facility founded by Mariusz and Theresa Zakrzewski. Mariusz, originally from Poland, has been dancing and competing for over 30 years across Europe and the United States. He continues to compete professionally while teaching and managing the studio, bringing that competitive edge and deep experience to every class.

The studio teaches ballroom dance across Latin, Smooth, and Standard styles to kids, teens, and adults at all levels. Group classes run Monday to Thursday 9am–8pm, Friday 9am–5pm, and Saturday 9am–3pm. You can start with a $40 introductory lesson, designed to meet you where you are—whether you're discovering ballroom for the first time or preparing for competition.

Private lessons are tailored to your goals: beginners building foundations, competitors perfecting routines, parents supporting their child's development, or adults seeking fitness, social dancing, or advanced technique. Lessons come as single sessions, short-term packages, or monthly coaching plans, with flexible scheduling to fit your life. The studio also runs Team Match, an in-house competition held on March 7th where dancers perform their routines before a professional judge and receive detailed written feedback—no placements, only progress and personalized notes on technique, performance, and presentation.

Instructors include owner Theresa Zakrzewski, Lynnsay Ray Robertson (proficient in Latin, Smooth, and Standard), Masha Mesheryakova (youth instructor, born in Moscow), Jenna McShinsky (discovered ballroom at age eight), and Robert McShinsky (excels in Latin, Ballroom, and Smooth). Elite Dance Studio was named a 2017 Finalist in Nevada Business Magazine's Family-Owned Business Awards and has led the Las Vegas ballroom scene for over a decade, with students representing the studio at top U.S. and international competitions.
