About this studio

Ember Movement Studio is a movement and recovery studio in Chattanooga that combines strength training, aerials, yoga, and restorative practices. Co-owned by Heather Heatherly and Kelly Hutt, the studio blends fitness with recovery methods including massage and bodywork. Every membership includes access to all signature classes: HIIPFIT, HIIPFLOW, Yoga, and Pole & Aerial classes, plus workshops and events.

The studio offers a broad range of movement disciplines. HIIPFIT 2.0 is a 50-minute interval workout using WOODWAY treadmills and strength equipment, alternating cardio and strength sets with muscles targeted varying by day. HIIPFLOW combines yoga and high-intensity interval programming in a 50-minute hybrid class. LIFT focuses on technical strength training without running, building muscle and metabolism through fundamental movements. Sunday School is a one-hour circuit mixing strength, cardio, and core stations.

Yoga offerings include Ember Flow, a dynamic Vinyasa-based class building strength and flexibility, and Ember Reset, a slow-flow restoration class designed for nervous system recovery. Pole Flow classes offer technique, training, and choreography for all skill levels, with Pole 1 and Pole All Levels open to beginners. Pole Circuit combines poles with battle ropes and weights for a full-body workout requiring no prior pole experience.

Aerial classes begin with Aerial Foundations, a beginner-friendly introduction to hammock and lyra (hoop) teaching shared foundational movements. Lyra classes run 60 minutes with thorough warm-up, conditioning, entry and exit techniques, and poses for beginners through advanced students. Aerial Hammock (Aerial Sling) teaches acrobatic and dance movements suspended from fabric, building strength, flexibility, and mobility.

Kids Circus classes for ages 7–15 run monthly 4-week skill progressions on Fridays and Sundays, with drop-ins welcome where advance registration is required. Ember hosts workshops, events including Ember After Dark (a pole and aerial showcase speakeasy experience), and private events for bachelorette and bachelor parties, birthdays, corporate functions, and more. Private class pricing is $45 per person for 1–6 participants or $35 per person for 7+, with a 6-person or $225 minimum.
