About this studio
En Mouvance is a dedicated dance centre in central Montpellier with over 10 years of history. The studio occupies 230 m² across two purpose-built dance studios (92 m² and 72 m²), designed to offer classes in the best possible conditions. Both studios are also available for rental to choreographers, companies and independent instructors.
The centre teaches classical, contemporary, modern jazz, and eveil & initiation (introduction classes). Two specialist curricula are offered: Cursus Scène for children and teenagers aged 8 and above, and Cursus Création & Répertoire for adults aged 17 and above. Additional offerings include barre à terre and renforcement musculaire (muscle conditioning). Classes span all levels, from complete beginners to advanced dancers seeking to challenge and refine their technique.
Instructors are state-qualified professionals (artistes-enseignant·e·s diplômé·e·s d'état) committed to transmitting their passion and advancing student progress. The studio emphasises personal follow-up, with values centred on inclusivity, interdisciplinarity, and revealing individual potential.
Beyond weekly classes, students have the opportunity each year to perform an original show, interpreted and developed throughout the season. This is framed as a moment of sharing, cohesion and personal growth. The centre also runs workshops and masterclasses, and supports preparation for dance competitions, entry to professional training programmes and auditions for conservatoires.
The studio has hosted students' work at significant venues: past performances have taken place at the Berlioz Opera House (Corum) and at Restanque. The centre participates annually in the Montpellier Danse festival, showcasing the Cursus Création & Répertoire.
