About this studio
HIT Dance Studio is located at 43 Cook Street in Auckland's CBD, on the north side of Cook Street between Nelson and Hobson streets, right next to Auckland City Hotel. They offer various dance styles for all levels, with each class teaching a new combination.
The studio operates on a flexible membership model with no long-term commitment. New members can try a 7-day trial that includes 4 classes for $20 (inc GST). After the trial, memberships renew at $20 per week and can be canceled anytime. Unused classes roll over for up to one year as long as you remain on a membership. You can book classes up to 7 days in advance through their website, and they operate a waitlist system if classes are full.
Classes are structured by level: Absolute Beginner ("2 Left Feet"), Beginner ("I've never danced before" or "I'm a little rusty"), Beginner/Intermediate, Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, and Advanced. There's no age restriction, though dancers under 18 are recommended to have previous dance experience. Walk-ins are welcome and can pay at the studio with cash, debit, or credit card.
The studio has a Discord community where members can access class videos. Filming during classes is optional — you choose whether to be recorded. Studio hours vary by day depending on the class schedule; they open half an hour before the first class and close immediately after the last class.

You can walk in and pay at the studio, or book a spot online 7 days in advance. A new combination is taught each class. You'll work at whatever level you're comfortable with, and filming is optional.
