About this studio

Inspiration to Movement is a movement studio in Columbus run by Rachel, a pilates and massage therapist with 20+ years of experience. Rachel is one of the first 500 nationally certified Pilates instructors in the United States and has completed 700+ hours of advanced training across multiple Pilates lineages (Romana's, Ron Fletcher Program), massage therapy, anatomy, and trauma-informed bodywork.

The studio offers private pilates lessons, semi-private lessons, triplet lessons, and group pilates classes. Rachel works with clients recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, and seeking to regain abilities they thought were lost. She also offers medical massage therapy with techniques including myofascial release, ART (Active Release Technique), active and passive stretching, deep tissue cross-fiber friction, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, therapeutic touch, sound therapy, cupping, lymphatic drainage, nerve gliding, and reflexology. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs.

Beyond pilates and massage, ITM offers wedding dance choreography, ballroom dance lessons, and a 6-week salsa series. The studio is also home to Oyo Dance Company, an in-residence professional dance company that offers children's classes and performance opportunities.

Rachel works one-on-one with each client, beginning with a consultation to understand your body history and goals. First sessions start with foundational breathing exercises, then move to work specific to your body. You'll leave with homework and next steps. Private pilates sessions are 55 minutes. The studio is located at 2000 S High St Suite B240, Columbus, with parking available in the lot at 2050 S. High St. (the Fortner lot).

The studio accepts cash, checks, Zelle, and credit cards (with processing fees). Financing through AFFIRM and buy-now-pay-later options are available. Package discounts are offered for clients attending at least one standing lesson or class per week. ITM carries a curated retail selection of dancewear, home exercise tools, and studio merchandise.

What to expect

Your first visit

Your first session begins with a conversation where you'll meet Rachel, review your intake form, and discuss what's happening in your body and what you hope to achieve. You'll start with foundational breathing exercises, then move to exercises specific to your body, and leave with written homework and next steps.
