Inspirations Dance Studio is a non-profit dance studio founded in 2014 by Mikaela Ostrander and her mother Janet Ostrander. The studio is currently co-directed by Mikaela Ostrander and Marlina D'Angelo. Mikaela began dancing at age eight and is a certified special education teacher and speech assistant in the State of Washington, specializing in dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other language-based disorders. She combines her expertise in dance and special education to create a welcoming space for all learners. Marlina D'Angelo brings over 10 years of personal dance experience and a background in business management and accounting, having previously managed a utility business and earned a bachelor's degree in business management and accounting.
Josie D'Angelo serves as Lead Dance Teacher and Manager. With 8 years of dance experience, she trained with Mikaela from age 12 and has been part of the Inspirations Dance competition team. She creates supportive and inclusive classes for students of all ages and levels, emphasizing self-expression, creativity, and confidence-building alongside technical training.
The studio offers classes for different interests and skill levels, ranging from recreational dance and fitness to competitive training and professional preparation. Classes serve children and adults of all abilities. According to reviews, the instructors are professional, passionate, and down to earth, with a genuine love for what they do and a strong foundation for working with children and adults of all learning styles.
