Artistry in Motion Dance and Performing Arts Studio

Artistry in Motion is a multidisciplinary performing arts studio in downtown Spokane run by director Tamara Zink, who trained from age 5 at the Tessa Williams School of Ballet in Spokane, then on scholarship at a Professional Performing Arts School back East. She has studied, performed, and taught in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area before returning home to open the studio. Her 35+ years in the performing arts inform teaching across dance, theatre, music, and choreography.

The studio teaches ballet (ages 5 to adult) in Classical, Balanchine, and Royal Academy of Dance styles; pointe (for technically trained students with prerequisite approval); jazz (ages 5–18, emphasizing energy and rhythmical accuracy); tap (ages 5–18, including jazz/rhythm and musical theatre styles); lyrical (ages 7–18); contemporary; musical theatre; hip hop; and voice and acting classes. They also offer pre-ballet and creative dance for younger students, acro, combo classes, and improv/choreography. Ballet is treated as the foundation of all dance forms and taught with positive energy and creativity.

Programs span Pre-Professional Dance Training (ages 7–19), Competition Dance (ages 5–18), Recreation Dance (ages 3–18), Adult Dance (18+), Private Mentoring, and Choreography. Private coaching is available in ballet, acting, musical theatre, vocals, piano, and choreography for all ages. The studio houses three studios, dressing rooms, and a reception area.

Beginner and recreational classes welcome all ages from 3 upwards, with adult classes for new and returning dancers of any skill level.
