About this studio
Kizomba Berlin teaches Kizomba and Zouk under Felipe, an instructor trained in sports science who brings a teaching method that combines technical precision with cultural feeling. Felipe's approach centers on helping students develop musicality and connection with their partner, drawing on his background in Brazilian rhythms, Salsa, Bachata, and Tango before specializing in Kizomba. His aim is for students to move beyond memorised steps and learn to interpret music together with a partner, building what he calls 'feeling through and for the partner'.
The studio runs group classes where you learn different lead and follow styles while building community with recurring participants. Group sessions emphasize shared energy and laughter. Private lessons are also available for accelerated progress tailored to your pace and specific needs.
Felipe emphasizes flexibility and attention to detail. Reviews highlight his clear explanations, warm teaching style, and care for both leaders and followers alike. One student noted he maintains near-balance between leader and follower numbers in classes. Another said 'I learn something new every time.' The studio also offers wedding dance tuition—students have described him as helping them achieve their wedding dance dream with knowledge, understanding, and joy.
The studio operates via WhatsApp for booking and partner-finding, inviting students to join the group and connect with other dancers. The address is Inselstraße 9, 10179 Berlin.
