About this studio

liberTANGO studio teaches Argentine Tango in Innsbruck, led by Martina and Peter. They offer open workshops at four levels: beginners (T1), lightly advanced (T2), advanced elements (T3), and complex combinations (T4). There is also a Tango Technik class for all levels that requires no partner.

Classes run twice weekly. On Mondays: T1 Anfänger runs 19:00–20:00, T2 Leicht Fortgeschrittene 20:00–21:00, followed by práctica asistida. On Wednesdays: Tango Technik 18:00–18:45 (by WhatsApp pre-registration), T3 Fortgeschrittene Elemente 19:00–20:00, T4 komplexe Kombinationen 20:00–21:00. You can join any class at any time. Private lessons are available with Martina, Peter, or both together.

The studio runs several social events. Tango im Treibhaus and La Milonguita para todos are regular milongas; there is also an Open-Air Tango event at Messehalle/Wiltener Platzl. After the Wednesday classes, a Practilonga for all levels runs from 21:00 onwards with DJ Martina.

Classes are held in the Mehrzwecksaal Arzl. The spring and summer 2026 programme runs until 29 July; classes resume 14 September after the summer break. For current information on courses and events, including summer activities, subscribe to their newsletter.

What to expect

Your first visit

Classes are structured by level and held twice weekly in a multi-purpose hall. You can drop into any class at your level; Tango Technik is solo-friendly and requires advance WhatsApp notice. Social practicas and milongas follow evening classes.
