About this studio
Tropical Swing has taught dance in Tirol since 2007, run by an international professional dance couple who have performed together since 2004. The studio occupies two rooms with a high-quality sprung parquet floor in the Kulturhaus VierundEinzig, centrally located on Hallerstrasse in Innsbruck.
Classes span Salsa (pair dance), Bachata (workshops for all levels), Styling & Bodymovement (solo), Latin Jazzdance (solo), Afrocuban Bodymovement, and Salsa Musicality workshops. Beginner Salsa courses start at €115; Solo Dance formats from €145. New courses begin regularly — most recently 21 September — with no long-term commitment required. You can start without a partner and entry is possible at any time after a trial lesson (Schnupperstunde).
Instructors teach with over 15 years' experience in Salsa, Bachata and Latin Dance, emphasizing authentic afro-Caribbean dance transmission alongside clear, pressure-free instruction. The teaching approach focuses on real dancing technique, musicality and body awareness, not just step sequences.
Beyond classes, Tropical Swing runs weekly free Salsa Practicas for students and members (Mondays, 20:15–22:00), Salsa Lady Styling evenings, Afrocuban Bodymovement workshops, Latin Jazzdance trial nights, and Salsa Musicality sessions. Social Dances and special events create space for practice, community connection and performance. The studio also offers wedding dance instruction and private lessons. All events are described as open, warm and suitable for beginners.

Your first visit
