About this studio

Mambocha is a dance school and association based in Allauch, 5 minutes from Marseille, operating since 2007. Founded by Christophe Garnier, it offers classes in couple dances (Salsa Cubaine, Salsa Porto On1, Salsa Porto On2, Bachata, Bachata dominicaine, Kizomba, Rock, Lindy-Hop, Tango argentin, Danses de salon) and solo styles (Salsa Shines, Salsa Lady Styling, Bachata Lady Styling, Jazz Roots, K-Pop for children and teens, Body control). The school also teaches singing and dances sportives for children and adolescents.

Classes run on an annual cycle from September 2026 to June 2027, with 34 sessions per season (33 for singing and children's courses). Trial classes are free during the first three weeks of September. The school occupies 400 m² across 3 luminous, parqueted, air-conditioned studios equipped with mirrors. Facilities include a reception and relaxation area with hot and cold beverage dispensers and snacks, changing rooms, and 150 free parking spaces.

Mambocha runs regular social events: SBK nights (Salsa Bachata Kizomba events), 100% Salsa, 100% Rock, Milonga and Tango argentin sessions, and Swing events held on Fridays and Saturdays, with training sessions on Sunday afternoons. The school organises extensive summer stages in July, with modules in Salsa Porto, Bachata (Initiation and Intermediate), Salsa Cubaine, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata dominicaine, Lady Styling, Boogie, Lindy Hop, Jazz Roots, Tango argentin, and Kizomba, ranging from 45–75€ depending on format and advance booking.

Annual year-end galas showcase student and teacher performances. A 2026 sports dances gala is scheduled for 19 June, and a singing gala for 28 June. Mambocha also provides choreography and entertainment for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and weddings, with the option to create custom routines to music of your choice or provide a DJ or live band.
