About this studio
Northern Ballet is one of the UK's busiest and most widely touring ballet companies, based in Leeds and operating as a registered charity. The company is known for narrative, story-driven work — spanning interpretations of classics and compelling new full-length ballets — created in Leeds to be shared with audiences nationally and internationally.
Recent and upcoming productions include the world premiere of Gentleman Jack, Cinderella (a ballet by Michael Pink), and Claude-Michel Schönberg's Wuthering Heights by David Nixon CBE. The company also produces digital dance work and award-winning short films, and runs inclusive-practice initiatives such as Access Becomes Art.
