About this studio

Northern Pole Dance is Newcastle's original pole dance and fitness studio, located on the 4th floor of Carliol Studios in the city centre. The studio caters to all abilities with a structured approach to teaching: beginner, intermediate, advanced and mixed-level sessions mean you can progress at your own pace.

The studio is equipped with 8 professionally fitted X-poles in both 40mm and 45mm sizes. Most lessons use static poles, though spinning pole classes are also available. Beyond pole work, Northern Pole Dance teaches aerial hoop (with 4 hoops available), flexibility training, aerial yoga in suspended hammocks, and stripper style/pole classique. Aerial yoga sessions combine relaxation and strength work, including meditation, stretching and aerial tricks.

Family classes are run so parents and children can train together. All booking and payment is handled online via GoTeamUp, which also displays the full timetable and pricing. The studio is open Monday to Saturday from 10:30 to 21:00, and Sunday 11:00 to 18:00.
