Oktogon Tánc Centrum is one of Budapest's oldest and largest dance schools, operating for nearly 30 years in the heart of the city. The school runs three teaching locations across nearly 500 square metres, hosting dance instruction at all levels across multiple styles.
Over its 30-year history, more than 60,000 students have trained at Oktogon. Many have gone on to compete at championship level, while others have formed lifelong friendships and partnerships within the school's walls. The teaching staff are recognized dance pedagogues and dance artists, several of whom are national and world champions in their disciplines.
The school offers summer intensive courses running from late June through mid-August, with a full timetable viewable online. Regular term courses are organised by style, and a partner-matching service is available for those seeking a dance partner. The school also rents out its teaching spaces and organises events and social dancing occasions throughout the year.
Regular operating hours run Monday to Thursday, 4pm–9pm. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are normally closed, though workshops and parties do run on weekends. The school closes for renovation work in early September each year before the autumn term begins.
