About this studio
Ritmo Caleño teaches Salsa Caleña, the Colombian salsa style known for its speed, technical footwork and energy. The school is built around this distinct approach to salsa: rapid, intricate legwork paired with energetic rhythms and a focus on joy and playfulness.
Classes run at three levels. Beginners start at 17:00–18:00, intermediate at 18:15–19:15, and a Conditioning (footwork) class at 19:30–20:30. New course starts are offered — the most recent advertised began 23 August. You can drop in or book a course, and the school emphasizes that salsa is social and fun: at each class, the aim is to develop as a dancer, experience Colombian culture and music, and learn together with others.
The teaching approach is welcoming. The school states plainly: "No experience? No problem. Dare to let loose to the rhythm — we promise it will be more fun than you think." Rickard teaches at the school. The studio provides a curated playlist of both classical and contemporary salsa hits during classes, designed to help students discover the true soul of Colombian salsa.
Ritmo Caleño is located at Tegnérlunden 6 in Stockholm. You can register for classes or drop in, and the school can be reached by email or phone.
