About this studio
S&S Dance Company is run by Simone Spadoni and Simona Caporale, a husband-and-wife team of world champion ballroom dancers. Both are originally from Rome, Italy, and moved to the USA in 2018. The studio teaches all four ballroom styles: American Rhythm, American Smooth, International Standard, and International Latin.
Simone started dancing at 15 and chose it over a promising soccer career. He is DVIDA and ISTD certified, and also holds certifications as a personal trainer and Sport Nutritionist from ISSA. His competitive record includes World Champion (Paris), 2 Times Champion of International championship (London), Vice World Champion (Paris), and 2 times Blackpool finalist (6th and 4th Place). He has also placed 4th in the Finalist Professional International Championship O35 in London 2023 and 4th in the Finalist Professional UK Championship 2024 O35 in London.
Simona began dancing at age 5 in ballet, modern, and jazz, performing in famous theatres in Rome. At 20 she began competing in Latin dances with Simone, earning trophies in the International Latin Dance amateur category. She shares Simone's championship titles and has also participated in Dance with the Stars – Hampton Roads events. Simona is certified in DVIDA and ISTD disciplines, and holds certifications in Zumba and Weight Management programs. She teaches all four ballroom styles, child dance classes, adult social dance, and Pro/Am competitive style dancing.
The studio offers private lessons, seasonal group classes, custom group classes, social party events, showcases, competitions, wedding dance lessons, and floor rental. Social events have included a Halloween 2024 party and a 1940s–1950s Themed Showcase in 2025. The studio celebrated its 1st Year Anniversary Showcase in August 2024. Group classes are available, and there is a Style & Technique class every Friday at 6pm for men and ladies. Dance Fitness classes run Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. An introductory offer provides two 30-minute lessons for $49, available to new students only.
