S Style Dance Team teaches ballroom and Latin dance to adults, couples, and children in St. Augustine and surrounding areas including Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, and Jacksonville. The studio offers private lessons, group classes, and social parties. No partner or prior experience is needed to start.
The studio is owned and taught by Aleksandr and Aida Skriptsov, who bring over 25 years of professional dancing experience. In Russia, they were part of the Russian National Formation Team Vera and achieved the titles of World Champions (2013), Champions of Europe (2008), and 8-times Champions of Russia. They earned the title of Master of Sports in Russia and graduated with honours from Tyumen State Academy of Culture, Arts, and Social Technologies with a degree in Choreography and Coach of Ballroom Dancing. After moving to the United States in 2015, they became top 4 USA National RS Ballroom Professional Finalists and winners of major American Professional Ballroom Championships. They have trained Pro Am USA National Champions in Smooth and Ballroom divisions.
The teaching team also includes Alena Chizhova, who started dancing at age 7 in Kazakhstan and competed in regional and national competitions. She joined S Style Dance Team in 2021 as both dance instructor and graphic designer. Marat Zhumabekov started dancing at age 5 in Tyumen, Russia, competed successfully in national and international tournaments, and was Vice-World Champion in the Latin program as a member of the Russian National Formation Team Vera. Brian Noon has competed nationally in International Ballroom and International Latin styles for over 15 years, winning numerous national competitions across the United States and teaching in Chicago before studying at the Winter Garden Dance Academy in Kyiv, Ukraine (2020) and joining Klub Tanca Sportowego Classic in Warsaw, Poland (2022). Anastasia Tatarenko started dancing at age 5 in Volgograd, Russia, graduated from School of Choreography with honours, and competed in International Ballroom and Latin, winning several national and international competitions.
The studio serves adult learners, couples preparing for wedding dances, and children. Spanish is spoken. The introductory offer is 2 dance lessons for $79.
