About this studio

Salsa of Sweden is run by David Jascha, who studied Cuban Salsa and Afro Cuban dances in Havana with some of the best Cuban dancers in the world. Before leaving Cuba, he was offered a spot in the dance team of 1830, Havana's most popular salsa club. Since 2018, he has travelled across Europe attending international congresses and exploring dance communities. He has given over 2000 salsa classes across Sweden, Denmark, and Germany, teaching more than 5000 students. David holds a Masters degree in Psychology and brings that background to his teaching approach, making hard-to-learn things easy and prioritising creating a safe, comfortable and confident learning environment.

Classes run on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Stigbergstorget 8 in Göteborg, with levels ranging from Salsa Beginners through Improvers and Intermediate to Advanced. The Autumn 2026 schedule includes Salsa Beginners (Tuesday 20:00–21:00), Salsa Improvers (Tuesday 18:00–19:00), Salsa Intermediate (Monday 17:45–18:45 and Tuesday 19:00–20:00), Salsa Advanced (Monday 18:45–20:15), Salsa Musicality Solo (Thursday 18:30–19:30), and Son & Salsa Contratiempo Solo (Thursday 19:30–20:30). Monday classes include a Salsa Social Dancing slot from 20:15–22:15 for enrolled students. All group classes run for 16 weeks at 2999kr per level, or 3999kr for Advanced.

Beyond regular classes, Salsa of Sweden offers private lessons available online or face-to-face in Sweden, priced at 950SEK per hour, with package discounts for 5 hours (4250SEK) or 10 hours (7500SEK). Weekend workshops are also scheduled—the 11–13 September 2026 Cuban Salsa Social Dance Lab is listed. Private classes purchased are non-refundable and valid for one year after purchase.

The studio also offers Cuban Salsa online courses for beginners and all levels, including foundational partner work, Cuban Rumba technique, salsa styling, solo moves, and body-movement control. Courses range from 19.90 EUR to 57.90 EUR and remain accessible forever after purchase. For corporate clients, Salsa of Sweden provides tailored team-building workshops, wellness programmes, corporate events with performances, and private group lessons at your office, the studio, or virtually.
