About this studio

Danzlagret is a dance school in Majorna, Göteborg, offering classes for children from age 2 through to adults. The school is personally run and welcomes beginners and continuing dancers of all ages.

Classes span a wide range of styles. For the youngest (ages 2–5), there is Barndans. Children aged 4–8 can join Dansmix, while 6–9 year-olds can train in the Svenska Balettskolan (Swedish Ballet School) certified dance line. Older children and teenagers access Klassisk balett (classical ballet), Contemporary, Breakdance, Jazz, Popdance, Streetstyles, Floorwork, Improvisation, and Tåspets (pointe work). The school also runs Ung Dans Majorna for ages 12–17, and summer dance camps (Dansläger) for ages 7–15 in June.

The school occupies two dance studios, each approximately 8.5 × 11.5 metres with 2.5 metre ceiling height. Both are equipped with mirrors and sound systems (CD and connections for mobile/computer). Changing rooms with showers are available for both men and women, along with a small foyer and reception area. The studios are located at ground level on Fiskhamnsgatan 2c in Majorna.

During term time, the school is open Monday to Thursday 15:00–21:00, Saturday and Sunday 09:00–13:00, and closed on Friday. The teaching team includes Adina Ternström, Anna Koch, Anna Wennersten, Aurica Muntoiu, Barbro Carelius Hallgren, Filippa Baumgart, Fredrik Sandström, Hedda Parkkonen, Joel Mattsson, Linda Blomgren, Linnea Lingårdsson, Mikael Edberg, Sofia Zachau, and Tove Strömberg. Anna Koch became owner in autumn 2024 and runs the school together with founder Mikael Edberg.

Danzlagret also rents out its studios for rehearsals, workshops, yoga, pilates, movement classes, and martial arts. The studios are available during daytime and selected evenings. The school organises dance parties and celebrations for both children and adults, which can include a dance class or choreography to music of your choice.
