Salsa Málaga is a Latin dance academy founded in 1999 and run by Deiby Tum Tum, a leading figure in Málaga's salsa movement, and Beatriz Villarrubia. The school teaches salsa, bachata, merengue, rueda de casino, cha cha chá and reggaeton across six locations in Málaga and the surrounding area: El Palo, Teatinos, San Julián, Av. Europa, El Torcal, and Villanueva del Rosario.

Classes are structured by level — inicial, básico, medio and avanzado — so you progress steadily without being rushed. The teaching method has been refined over 25 years to help beginners feel at ease from day one. You start with basic salsa steps and rhythm, then build toward turns, figures and musicality. Each student advances at their own pace. If you come alone, you don't need a partner: the school rotates partners during group classes, which actually accelerates learning because you practise with people of different styles and levels. Many students joined solo and now form part of a community of over 500 dancers in Málaga who socialise, travel together and attend regular social events.

Bea focuses on technique, polishing steps carefully. Deiby brings Cuban flow, rhythm, energy and passion.
