About this studio
EOTO MLG is a sociocultural association and dance academy in Málaga that teaches breaking, hip-hop, and Cuban salsa. The studio's philosophy centres on the African proverb "Each One, Teach One"—a principle adopted by hip-hop culture that emphasises peer learning and passing knowledge across generations.
The academy works across multiple settings: they run regular classes, but also bring dance into schools and community centres through their "Break'n'School" programme, which uses hip-hop and urban art as an educational tool for young people. They organise breaking events, jams, and cultural gatherings that connect the breaking and salsa communities.
Classes focus on breaking and hip-hop for younger students and teenagers, designed to help them channel energy and express themselves through movement. EOTO also teaches Cuban salsa and Afro-Cuban rhythms, rooted in the Latin percussion and Caribbean styles that form part of hip-hop's origins. The studio has created the Alhaurín Breaking Club as part of this work.
Based at Centro Social Cultural Rafael Gonzalez Luna in the Carranque neighbourhood, EOTO runs classes on Thursday evenings (20:00–21:00) and Friday afternoons (16:30–18:00). The studio positions dance not just as technique but as a vehicle for connecting people and promoting the cultural contexts from which these traditions emerged.
