About this studio

Salsa4Water is part of CPH4water, a volunteer-run non-profit organisation teaching Cuban salsa, bachata and yoga in Copenhagen. Every pound earned from classes and events goes directly to WaterAid to support water and sanitation projects around the world. Since 2016, CPH4water has donated more than DKK 555,000 to these efforts.

The salsa programme centres on rueda de casino, the Cuban group dance form. Classes cover footsteps, partner work and special rueda moves across four levels: FREE Basics at 13:00, Beginners at 14:00, Improvers at 15:00, and Intermediates at 16:00 on Sundays. Bachata teaching focuses on sensual style with attention to footwork, body movement and partner connection, running at FREE Basics (14:00), Beginners (14:30), Practice (15:30) and Improvers (16:00).

Classes are drop-in with no partner or registration required. You'll find them at Idrætsfabrikken in Vesterbro. The 2026 Spring season runs from January to June. Payment is by card or MobilePay before class: single drop-in costs 90 DKK (students 75 DKK), or buy 8 classes plus one free for 720 DKK (students 600 DKK).

Every Sunday at 13:00, special workshops explore related movement and dance forms—past offerings have included Salsa con Rumba, Salsa Caleña, Contemporary Dance and Paso Madrid. Free Wednesday socials (when in season) run from 19:30 with an intro class followed by social dancing from 20:15 to 22:30.

The organisation is entirely volunteer-led. Teachers, DJs and all practical staff donate their time driven by shared love of dance, community and cause. You can book teachers for private events—birthdays, bachelorette parties, company events—tailored to your needs. Contact them for details.
