About this studio
Salsaddiction is a salsa dance school and show group based in Utrecht, founded and led by Brian Libier, a three-time Dutch champion and European champion. The studio's motto is "Don't think, just feel", reflecting its philosophy that dancing is about enjoying the music and expressing yourself freely on the floor.
Brian Libier is known for his distinctive creativity and dance style, and for bringing those qualities into every performance and class. He has been a fixture at the top of the Dutch salsa scene for more than a decade, teaching what the studio describes as qualitative choreography and coaching. The lessions at Salsaddiction are structured around technique, musicality and positive energy. The studio emphasises building a strong foundation in the basics so you can progress and express yourself more freely as you develop.
The school runs several formats: monthly Salsa Dance Academy bootcamps, Surreal bootcamps, private lessons, workshops, and intensive 8-week salsa training courses. Salsaddiction also hosts social events, including the Salsaddiction Salsa Party series. The first edition was held on 19 September in collaboration with Fuego Tropical at H.F. Witte, Alfred Nobellaan in De Bilt, featuring an intermediate-level workshop from 20:15–21:15 followed by a party from 21:15–01:00. The event welcomed both beginners and experienced dancers, with DJs Willy and Andre playing salsa, bachata and merengue. Tickets were €12 in advance or €15 at the door. The studio also offers salsa gift cards and positions itself as welcoming to anyone who wants to learn or dance.
