About this studio
SalsaDrills (formerly OnOneSalsa) offers salsa and bachata classes across two locations: Summerhall in Edinburgh and Young Community Hall in Burntisland, Fife. The studio's philosophy centers on 'targeted drills, real progress, better salsa dancing' — a deliberate focus on precision and purpose rather than general fitness or entertainment.
In Edinburgh, SalsaDrills runs improvers courses at Summerhall. The February 2026 block, for example, focuses on improvers stage 3 with an emphasis on directional control in motion, stopping and redirecting movement through both solo and partnerwork. These courses run over 4 weeks and are designed for dancers with foundational knowledge; basic steps and fundamentals are not taught from zero.
In Burntisland, the studio offers weekly ongoing salsa and bachata classes on Wednesdays. Salsa runs at 18:30 and bachata at 20:30, held at Young Community Hall. These classes are explicitly designed for absolute beginners and those wanting a refresh, with no partner or previous experience required. The teaching approach combines solo movement with partnerwork to build confidence from the ground up.
The studio emphasizes that you can join classes at any time, and each class is different so you will always learn something new. SalsaDrills is insured through Insure4Sport.
