Salsaluca is a dance school in Bern teaching Latin American styles including Salsa Cubana, Salsa Linea, Salsa Rueda, Bachata Sensual, Kizomba, Brazilian Zouk, and specialised technique classes in Lady Styling and Man Styling. The school operates from three locations: the main studio at Seidenweg 63 in Bern's Längass quarter, a venue at Spitalgasse 4 (KulturBistro) in central Bern, and a location at Hauptgasse 47 in Solothurn (Stadt Café).
The teaching team holds multiple Swiss champion titles. Instruction is structured from beginner to advanced levels, with an emphasis on personal guidance alongside group energy. You can attend classes alone; the school ensures balanced male-female ratios and provides substitute partners when needed. Partners rotate regularly during class so everyone learns effectively.
Salsaluca runs regular social events including SBK Donnerstag, Tuesday Kiz, Noche Domingo, and Pura Bachata—all held at the KulturBistro. The school also organises dance travel experiences, including trips to Mallorca. Performance opportunities are available through five show groups: iDiamanti, iOnyxi, iRubini, iSmaragdi, iZafiri, and iZirkoni. Show group members receive a 50% discount on ongoing courses taught by internal instructors.
Private lessons are available, tailored to your goals. The KulturBistro venue can be rented for private celebrations with bar service included and no rental fee. The school emphasises a warm, respectful atmosphere where everyone is on first-name terms, mistakes are met with encouragement, and students develop at their own pace while building community.
