Scuola danza Bologna | Alisei Danza

Alisei Danza was founded in 2011 by Alice Casellato and has built a solid reputation for professional and welcoming dance teaching in Bologna. The school offers courses in danza moderna (modern dance), danza classica (classical dance), and balli di gruppo (group dances) for children and adults across multiple levels.

The modern dance approach at Alisei emphasizes adaptability across styles rather than rigid technique alone. Classes blend modern-jazz, lyrical and contemporary movement, with teaching that covers technique, dance history, and spatial and body awareness. The school welcomes those returning to dance after time away, as well as complete beginners; a free trial lesson lets you gauge the right level before committing.

Alisei's teachers are highly qualified with years of experience working with young people and adults. The school has created what it describes as a safe and comfortable space for students of all ages. Beyond regular classes, the school is known for producing full artistic performances rather than simple recitals—these include productions such as "Le Fil Rouge" (2024), "Io Sono Nina" (2023), "Stagioni" (2025), and "Le Due Porte" (2026). Students get opportunities to perform publicly and showcase their abilities.

The school engages with Bologna's cultural life, participating in local events and cultural festivals. The school operates from multiple locations in Bologna and invites new students to contact them to arrange a free trial class.

You'll start with a free trial lesson to find your level with the teacher. Classes are divided by skill and, for younger students, by age group. Expect an emphasis on feeling emotion through movement alongside learning technique.
