About this studio

Arte Danza Bologna teaches classical and contemporary dance at Via Castiglione 21 in Bologna's city centre. The school works with the Vaganova method for classical technique, running graded courses from level I to VIII for students aged 8–18. The approach emphasises floor work, technical development and compositional complexity.

For younger children, the school offers dance education (ages 3–4) and preparatory dance classes (ages 5–7), taught at Maggiore Servizi Ricreativi on Via Farini. Contemporary dance is available for teens (from age 16) and adults at beginner and advanced levels. Adult classical classes run at three levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for those aged 17 and over, whether returning to dance after a break or continuing their practice.

Beyond dance, Arte Danza offers Pilates for children, teens and adults—designed to improve posture and spinal alignment, and particularly recommended during growth and development. Floor barre classes (from age 16) combine technical preparation with physical conditioning through muscle lengthening and postural alignment. The school also runs a morning muscle-awakening class to help prepare the body for the day ahead, and teaches BodyCode, a method addressing lower-back tension, psoas engagement and lumbar-sacral mobility using reflex ball work.

The studio runs professional pathways with daily mandatory attendance, combining classical technique, floor barre and contemporary study, alongside preparation for competitions and auditions. Summer programmes include the Summer Ballet Intensive Program (SBIP) running from July, and a June summer camp. The school is registered as an association (a.s.d.) and activities are reserved for members.
