About this studio
Bairestango is an Argentine tango school in northern Rome, directed by Bibiana Reynoso, an Argentine teacher and dancer who has been a pioneer of Roman tango since the school was established over 20 years ago. The school operates as a sports association and offers classes for all levels and ages, from complete beginners to more advanced dancers.
The teaching team includes Bibiana Reynoso as artistic director and lead instructor, Roberto Ricciuti as stable master, and guest masters Mariano Navone (Argentine dancer and bandoneonist) and Sebastian De La Vallina (dancer, cellist and composer). The school emphasises the embrace—the heart of tango—as the gateway to emotion and connection in the dance.
Classes run once a week through to the end of June each season. You can attend as a single or with a partner; the school pairs up unpaired dancers and brings in supporters to balance numbers between men and women. Beginner courses require no prior dance experience. Beyond regular classes, Bairestango organises guided practice sessions, tango evenings (milongas), and private lessons.
The school occupies spacious, well-lit rooms of different sizes equipped for dance, with a parquet floor, internal parking, and a garden. Located in the Cassia–Flaminio–Corso Francia area at Via dell'Acqua Traversa 196, it is described by students as easy to reach and comfortable.
Students have attended for over a decade, citing Bibiana's calm teaching style, the school's inclusive atmosphere, and the friendships formed both in class and at regular social events. The school actively encourages groups to attend milongas together.
