About this studio
Skylight Dance Club is a non-profit organisation founded in 1997 by Jayasree and Marc, two certified dance teachers who lead the club with passion and expertise. The club operates from multiple locations across Brussels: the main teaching space at Lutgardiscollege in Auderghem, afternoon classes at GC De Kam in Wezembeek-Oppem, and occasional holiday intensives at Centre Sportif Poséïdon in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert.
Classes run seven days a week across four age groups: Rising Stars (ages 8–12), Junior Club (13+), Adults, and Senior Club (50+). The curriculum spans Ballroom, Latin, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Bachata, Rock, and Swing, with instruction pitched at beginner through advanced levels. Competitive training is available for those interested in the competition floor, alongside technique and choreography masterclasses for serious dancers.
The teaching team includes Jayasree and Marc (both members of BULDO, VTS, Danssport Vlaanderen, and TSTVeV), Iryna (who leads Thursday Technique Classes with expertise in Latin American dances), Donaat (specialising in Latin American dances, Salsa, and Bachata), and Viviane (a core member since 1999, known for bringing joy and humour to every class). All instructors teach in German, English, French, and Dutch. They train their students using systematic methods adapted to individual needs, and hold professional credentials from renowned trainers including Sascha Karabey, Tony & Amanda Dokmann, and Felix Castillo.
Beyond regular classes, Skylight offers private lessons for wedding couples wanting to choreograph a personalised opening dance, solo dancers, competitors, and couples seeking to advance at their own pace. Practise sessions run on Fridays (open practice for all levels, solo and couples). The club hosts the Galaball 2027, Junior Club Springball, and other social events throughout the season.
Free trial lessons are available in early September 2026, and new students can book classes throughout the year. The schedule is flexible, with slots available the whole week including Saturdays for private tuition.
