About this studio
Somos Cubanos is a Caribbean dance school in the Isolotto neighborhood of Florence. Founded in 2019, it teaches a range of styles rooted in Caribbean rhythm and culture, alongside other dance forms. The school is built on four core principles: passion, method, sharing and enjoyment.
Classes are offered for all levels. The curriculum includes Salsa Cubana and Rueda de Casino (Cuban salsa and the group dance form), Bachata Fusion & Sensual, Gestualità Femminile e Maschile (feminine and masculine movement technique), Danza del Ventre (belly dance) and Heels (dancing in high heels). Each style is designed to help you improve coordination and physical fitness while learning in a welcoming environment.
Somos Cubanos functions as more than a school—it is also a community. Throughout the year they organize social events and dance nights at local venues, exclusive themed parties for students, and participate in national dance congresses and festivals. These events offer opportunities to travel, learn from established teachers and dance with the group.
You can book a free trial lesson or contact the school for course schedules and more information.
