Stagecoach Performing Arts Bath

Stagecoach Bath offers part-time training in performing arts for students aged 4–19 years, based at Hayesfield Upper School in Upper Oldfield Park. Classes are structured into age-appropriate stages: Mini Stages for ages 2–4 (45 minutes), Early Stages for ages 4–6 (90 minutes), Main Stages for ages 6–18 (3 hours weekly), Further Stages for ages 15+ (advanced sessions), and Adult Classes for ages 18+.

Each stage combines singing, dancing and acting. The school's Educational Framework tracks progress in life skills alongside performing arts disciplines—singing, dancing, acting and performance & stagecraft. Principal Sandra Mayo, a trained singer with over 25 years' performing experience, leads the school. Sandra has performed in West End productions including Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Nancy in Oliver, and the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. She has taught singing for over 14 years in local schools and has been Musical Director for CLOGS Music Theatre in Chippenham for eight years.

Stagecoach Bath runs holiday workshops for ages 4–18 and offers exam qualifications through LAMDA and Trinity College London. Students perform at major venues: the school recently performed at the Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End, His Majesty's Theatre and Theatre Royal in Bath. An upcoming performance is scheduled for the O2 Indigo in December. The school also organises a Disneyland Paris trip in 2027, where selected students will participate in a Disney Workshop and pre-parade performance.

New students can try a two-week trial period (two consecutive sessions within the first four weeks of term) to experience the classes before committing. All staff are Enhanced DBS checked. The school accepts Tax Free Childcare and Childcare vouchers as payment methods.

Your child will join an age-appropriate class combining singing, dancing and acting in a supportive environment. Mini Stages (ages 2–4) are 45 minutes with a parent or carer; Early Stages (ages 4–6) run for 90 minutes; Main Stages (ages 6–18) are 3-hour weekly sessions. A two-week trial (two sessions) is available to try before enrolling.
