About this studio
Starlight Ballroom Dance has been teaching ballroom, Latin, Smooth and Rhythm styles for over 25 years under the ownership of Stela Howard. Stela brings 45+ years of dance experience and has taught students ranging from ages 6 to 96. She holds certification as an American Ballroom Smooth & Rhythm Instructor through the American International Dancers Association (AIDA) and is a member of the NDCA.
Stephan Howard, with 20+ years of experience, is a professional member of the NDCA and also holds AIDA Certified Instructor status in American Ballroom Smooth & Rhythm. Since 2015, he has led the Tulane University Ballroom Dance Club and has served as a Ballroom Instructor for the Martin Marino Dance Challenge through the Jefferson Parish School System since 2016. Throughout the year, Stephan dances professionally in Pro/Am Competition with his students.
The studio operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, with Sunday appointments available. You can book lessons online or visit in person at their location on West Esplanade Avenue. The studio maintains a 5.0 Google rating based on 13 reviews.
