About this studio
Studio Itaka is a multifunctional creative space in Prague's Vinohrady neighbourhood, operating since 2014. The studio hosts a reception and café, and serves as a base for both regular classes and cultural events.
Flamenco is central to the programme. A year-round course runs on weekends with Ángel Muñoz, structured across three levels of intensity with 4.5 hours of instruction per level. The course culminates in a final exhibition in a theatre. From September 2025, students can join the monthly weekend intensives for continuous and intensive work on choreography at a professional standard.
Tango is also central. Every first Sunday of the month, the studio hosts an evening of Argentine tango beginning at 19:30 as part of the regular Sunday milonga Caminita.
Beyond regular dance classes, Studio Itaka runs cultural programmes aimed at students. In February 2026, a week-long Spanish culture programme for secondary school students covers flamenco, folklore, Spanish gastronomy, and important figures from Spanish history, theatre, literature and film. A British culture programme for primary school students (May 2026) focuses on British music, history, culture, theatre, literature, politics, science and film, alongside gastronomy and hands-on activities in small groups.
The studio offers hall rental to other organisations and partners with an institute for innovative education support.
