About this studio
Studio Synergy is one of the fastest growing salsa schools in all of Central Florida, offering beginner and intermediate salsa instruction in a group lesson format. The studio is located at 1222 Woodward St (Suite 104 & 105) in Orlando, a 3,000 square foot contemporary space in the heart of downtown Orlando.
Classes begin with a warmup focused on body isolations and increasing range of motion and coordination, followed by footwork drills that help you understand balance, weight changes, and timing. From there, instructors teach a short "shine" sequence and leading and following techniques. The class design emphasises fundamentals with a focus on helping you grow in all facets of dance. You do not need to bring a partner — classes work on a rotational basis with partner switching throughout. The studio offers beginner and intermediate salsa instruction, plus private one-on-one instruction and various specialty workshops throughout the year.
The weekly schedule includes Monday classes (Beginners 1 at 6:45 PM, Beginners 2 at 6:45 PM, and Intermediate Salsa at 7:45 PM), Wednesday classes (Yoga for Dancers at 5:30 PM, Beginners 1 at 6:45 PM, Beginners 2 at 6:45 PM, and Advance Salsa at 7:45 PM), and Thursday classes (Beginners 1.5 Salsa on1 at 6:45 PM and Intermediate Mambo on2 at 6:45 PM). A new schedule began 5 January 2026.
Studio Synergy runs regular social events throughout the month. The Synergy Social Club meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 PM to 2 AM, hosted by resident DJ Mambo Tribe and featuring salsa, bachata and cha-cha. A quarterly social is held at Mathers Social Gathering in downtown Orlando, typically from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM on a designated Sunday. Salsa Night runs every Tuesday at The Robinson Cafe & cocktail lounge, with a free class at 10 PM and no cover charge.
Salsa Synergy's professional dance company and student teams have performed throughout the country, including Los Angeles, Miami, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Houston. The company has also performed for large organisations like the Orlando Magic, Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld Orlando. Performance opportunities are offered regularly to those on both amateur and professional teams at various events and congresses throughout the year.
