About this studio
SWFL Ballet is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) classical ballet school in Fort Myers, built on a vision to provide comprehensive ballet education from Pre-Ballet through professional level, including post-graduate training and coaching for national and international competitions. The school's curriculum is based on the Vaganova Method, a complete system created by Russian pedagogue Agrippina Vaganova that guides students through each level, mastering technique and developing the body's ability to improve through a comprehensive approach targeting specific muscle groups for harmonious development.
The school welcomes children ages 4 and up into Pre-Ballet classes, with the environment designed to be friendly, safe, and full of positive energy. Students progress through structured levels (Level 1–4) before advancing to Pointe Class, Pas de Deux, and Variations. The curriculum includes classical music and simple routines that help young dancers learn while enjoying themselves. Adult classes are also offered and are becoming increasingly popular, catering to introductory through advanced levels—whether you danced as a child or are discovering ballet for the first time. Adults can expect to maintain fitness and muscle tone, develop flexibility, improve body posture, and experience anti-stress benefits from classical music and graceful movement.
Private classes and coaching are available for personalized training at the appropriate level, allowing students to work on specific elements requiring supervision and correction, find their unique style, and prepare for performances and competitions. Classes are held in a comfortable one-on-one setting (or couple plus coach) with constant supervision, detailed theoretical analysis, and continuous progression to prepare students for ballet competition.
The school operates Monday–Friday with flexible hours (Monday and Wednesday 4:30 pm–9:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am–9:00 pm, Friday 10:00 am–9:30 pm; Saturday TBD; closed Sunday). Studio facilities include classrooms that are well-suited with all the right equipment to build strong dedicated dancers. The school is dedicated to providing warm, welcoming teachers, a beautiful environment, and affordable prices, with performances such as the Nutcracker featured in their calendar.

Studio history
SWFL Ballet was founded as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization by a Board of Trustees with a vision to create a comprehensive ballet school in the greater Southwest Florida community. The founders were driven by the recognition that classical ballet training is becoming less available and many talented children were forced to travel out of state to receive quality ballet education. The school was created to change this and make ballet training accessible to everyone passionate about the art form.
