About this studio
Swing Maniacs teaches swing dance in the heart of Barcelona's Gràcia neighbourhood, on Carrer de Roger de Flor. The studio runs regular courses (both in-person and online for 2026/2027), intensive workshops, and organises social events including the Festes de Gràcia Ballades amb Swing Shot, which feature open classes.
You can learn lindy hop, Charleston, Balboa, blues, jazz steps and claquè (tap). The school offers courses at different levels, with some requiring no prior dancing experience. Regular courses are available in mixed format (in-person plus online via Zoom) or in-person only. Intensive courses are also on the schedule. If you don't have a partner, Swing Maniacs will assign one to you.
Online classes are taught live via Zoom on the mixed-format courses, allowing you to receive real-time feedback from instructors. In-person students in mixed-format classes are filmed and may appear in the recording shown to online participants. Recorded classes from mixed-format courses remain available on your account for 15 days after the course ends. You can watch recorded classes three working days after they are filmed, and online students who cannot make a live session can watch the recording within two days of the class date. Online courses can be accessed via laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile, though you can only link two devices to one account.
The school is open Monday to Friday, 17:00 to 22:00. Bicycles and similar items can be stored inside the school if space and flow permits, with limited dedicated parking spaces available. The studio offers space rental for groups and individuals. Kids' classes are available, and Swing Maniacs also runs "mogudes" (social dance events) and other activities. You can contact them by phone, WhatsApp, or email. The studio accepts payment by bank card and operates a virtual wallet system: if a course you've paid for doesn't run due to lack of enrolment, you can exchange your payment for another course, store the credit in your wallet to use later, or request a refund.

Your first visit
Drop in for an open class to try before committing to a course. Classes run Monday to Friday from 17:00 onwards. You can attend in person or join live via Zoom if your course is in mixed format; just arrive five minutes early and have your camera on if you want feedback from the instructor.
