About this studio

Tango Abrazo is a non-commercial club for Argentine tango dancers in Bergen, run entirely by volunteer members. The club offers a broad programme for beginners and experienced dancers alike, with a shared focus on Argentine tango.

Classes run at all levels. The club organises beginner courses (8 sessions, 12 hours total), advanced courses (8 sessions, 8 hours), experienced dancer courses, and themed courses. Beginner intro sessions are also available. Larger seminars featuring professional instructors are held periodically; recent visiting teachers have included Sabrina Veliz and Alejandro Lencina, who led both a mini-seminar and a full weekend seminar in April 2026.

Milongas (social tango dancing evenings) happen every Tuesday and Sunday at Bergen Barneasyl (SF), with simple food and drink available. Payment is by Vipps or credit card at the door. The venue can also be used for independent practice.

Members have free access to the studio space for practice (practica) sessions, either solo or in groups. The club also arranges private performances tailored to individual events. Information on courses and seminars is published on letsreg.com.

Tango Abrazo is membership-based. The annual membership fee is 600 kroner for a full calendar year, or 350 kroner per six-month period (January–June or July–December). Members receive reduced prices on milongas and selected courses, free use of studio space for practice, and access to members-only information. The club maintains a presence on Facebook and Instagram.
