Tango Argentino in UAE

Tango Argentino UAE is run by Angi and Nico, a professional tango couple from Buenos Aires with over 18 years of experience. Both are certified instructors trained at Mariposita de San Telmo in Buenos Aires and in the Método Bonaventura®, a revolutionary teaching system developed over 20 years by Carolina Bonaventura. Angi and Nico represented Argentina at Expo 2020 as part of the Argentine National Tango Selection before establishing their school in the UAE in 2022.

They teach across two main locations: SIMA Performing Arts in Dubai (Alserkal Avenue, Al Qouz 1, Warehouse 38) and Al Muneera at Al Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi. Classes run five days a week at different levels. Monday evenings in Dubai offer intermediate/advanced at 8:30 PM and beginners/improvers at 9:30 PM. Tuesday and Sunday classes in Abu Dhabi focus on advanced and beginners/improvers respectively. Thursday in Dubai runs an open-level class, and Saturday in Abu Dhabi also welcomes all levels. They also teach from The Vibe Dance Studio in Dubai's Serena Community Center.

The school offers group classes, private lessons, and professional instructor training. Their curriculum covers Tango Salón, Tango Stage, Milonga, Vals, Tango Fantasia, Tango Nuevo, and Tango Technique through the Método Bonaventura®. The approach emphasizes connection, musicality, creativity, and authentic expression, treating tango as instant art and improvisation. They have trained over 150 dancers across the UAE since 2022 and over 300 students worldwide since 2018.

The Abu Dhabi Milonga, held monthly at 31 Bar & Lounge in the Grand Millennium Al Wahda Hotel, is the largest and oldest Argentine tango social gathering in the UAE. Each event features a tango class, carefully curated music, and an authentic milonga atmosphere. The school also offers specialized programmes including wedding tango choreography (a 10-week course for couples), professional instructor training (Level 1: Tango Teaching Fundamentals, 20 hours), and tango therapy coaching. They host tango workshops, festivals, conferences, and live entertainment shows, and have performed at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Marina Mall, New York University Abu Dhabi, and other prestigious venues across the region.

Group classes are structured by level (beginners, improvers, intermediate, advanced, open level) and taught in English by internationally trained instructors. Private lessons focus on your individual needs with personalized programming. The Abu Dhabi Milonga brings together dancers of all levels monthly for social dancing, with a class component, live music, and the atmosphere of a Buenos Aires social dance.

Angi Ordóñez and Nicolas Sambucetti (Nico) are the founders and primary instructors. Both are professional tango dancers from Buenos Aires certified in Mariposita de San Telmo and the Método Bonaventura®. They represented Argentina at Expo 2020 and have performed and taught internationally across Argentina, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Classes are offered for absolute beginners and improvers at multiple times during the week across both Dubai and Abu Dhabi locations.
