About this studio
Tango Mood is a Roman Argentine tango school and social club that runs group classes across all levels alongside weekly milongas (social dance nights). The school operates a summer programme running from 9 July to mid-September each year, based at a location near Rome's centre with easy metro access and parking.
Group classes are structured by level: absolute beginners and beginners meet on Friday at 19:30–20:45, with a 19:00–19:30 propedeutic session for those who have never danced before. Intermediate and advanced students attend Thursday workshops at 20:00–21:15, organised as thematic seminars that change week to week—recent topics have included Giro + Enrosque, Sacada + Boleo, linear and circular systems, Vals y Milonga, and improvisation across different rhythmic structures. The teaching approach emphasises comparison, discovery and reflection to develop your tango personally. Partnering is not required for lessons, though reservation is recommended.
Private lessons are available for all levels if you want to accelerate your progress and work through specific difficulties. The school also runs a "Viaggio Tanguero" service offering information about group lessons, private lessons, taxi dancers and milongas in Buenos Aires.
Weekly milongas run Friday 20:00–00:30 and are branded as "After Office" events with free aperitivo. The venue has three rooms—one open-air and ventilated, one air-conditioned, and a third described as mysterious—all with parquet floors. There is a spacious external patio with a relaxation zone, free drinks and snacks until 21:30. The space has air conditioning, wooden dance floor, easy parking and is located at Gotan, via dei Cessati Spiriti 89, Roma, roughly 500 metres from Metro A Colli Albani station.
